The Dynascan M250 is MDL's entry level mapping grade mobile laser scanning system.
The Dynascan ‘plug and play' LiDAR system is a fully integrated high speed laser scanner, high accuracy GPS positioning system and inertial measurement unit. The system is light weight, highly portable and may be used on land vehicles or marine vessels to acquire 3D mapping grade data of topography, urban developments, industrial plants (including overhead utility cables, bridges, dams, harbours, beaches and rivers), canal banks and much more.
These all weather rugged and highly portable systems are designed for use in harsh environments such as off road slower speed applications like mine mapping, stockpile surveys, coastal surveying and asset management projects.
The Dynascan M250 would be most suitable for use in confined mine and quarry areas where the operator can remain safe within the confines of the vehicle. The system is ideal for stockpile measurements, entire quarry mapping and pre and post blast comparisons.
MDL's single head systems are most effective because of the slow speed nature of off road and marine mapping operations which require multiple changes of direction and multiple 'stop starts'.

Dynascan X-Plane is a dual scanning laser system with integrated GPS / GLONASS, INS and dual GPS Antenna heading system. Mapping grade X-Plane systems are available with a 250 metre range capability.
The systems two lasers are mounted at fourty five degrees reducing shadows encountered when scanning. We have maintained the benefits of the single head system keeping the unit light weight, highly portable and suitable for use on land vehicles or marine vessels to acquire 3D point cloud data.
The system is ideal for GIS and Infrastructure applications. The dynamic data acquisition of the Dynascan enables a complete street scene to be scanned in one pass; this detailed point cloud data can provide accurate information on a wide range of feature extractions.The system can gather data safely and efficiently without the need for surveyors to leave the vehicle, allowing rapid and safe scanning even in extreme environments.

Survey Grade with 250m
The Dynascan S250 extends the Dynascan's use into the lucrative survey and construction grade 3D mobile surveying market.
The Dynascan S250, a 250 metre 360° field of view mobile surveying system is the result of the latest advances by MDL's development team, flowing from its high speed/high accuracy laser development program.

The S250 achieves a greater accuracy whilst retaining all of the characteristics of the current range of Dynascan systems; reliable, rugged, portable, lightweight (under 40lbs), simple to use, and affordable.
This model is available in either single head or X-Plane (twin head) model formats. Single head S250 models incorporate a ten degree offset laser angle, to produce a 160 degree ‘scanning cone', allowing easier vehicle installation without excessive mounting overhang.
An all-weather IP65 design makes the S250 suitable for use on any land and sea mobile platform.

Survey Grade with X plane
The Dynascan X-Plane S250 is MDL's latest survey-grade mobile mapping system featuring greater accuracy and points per second.
The dual head ‘X' Plane S250 Dynascan is designed for higher accuracy at highway road speeds, to enable greater use of the Dynascan system on urban/highway surveying projects. With a net pulse rate of 72 Khz and a net line rate of up to 60 lines per second, the result is more data at faster speeds with less ‘shadowing'.
The S250's high performance (+/- 1 cm) lasers, with a range of up to 250 meters, makes Dynascan the most effective, ‘all weather', rugged mobile mapping system on the market today.
